SkyFest: The Skykomish Rodeo and River Festival
  
July 7-8, 2001

Here is a chance for boaters from around the
Pacific Northwest to gather together and
celebrate
whitewater paddling, the beautiful Skykomish
River
and to support ongoing river access issues. This
event is a great opportunity to rip up a wave,
compete against friends, try new gear, buy old
gear, get smoking deals on new gear and meet new
friends while enjoying a day on the river. 

A variety of on-river competitions open to
whitewater boaters of all disciplines. On
Saturday
we will also have kayaks available for demos, a
silent auction that will run all day in the town
park, used gear swap and on-water clinics. A
party
Saturday evening will include food, music, a
volunteer and event raffle and a live auction to
raise money both for the event and local river
access causes. Camping will be available near-by
and if you plan to drink, please arrange for a
designated driver.
