No one has to use the park...

The fact that the sport is growing, is not and
will not go away. Just this last weekend, the wait
in line for the Mill Wave was over 30 minutes.
Play spots are a limited resource with a growing
number of users. In Colorado, the parks have in
fact generated revenue for the communities without
user fees. Access for paddlers was more of a issue
when their where fewer of us to voice our concerns.
1000 mouths are louder than one or two. Last
season, the Mill Wave line was 10-15 minutes on a
weekend. This season the weekend line is 30
minutes. What will it be next year? How long is
too long? My point is, options are there for those
that want them. If you choose to paddle else where
thats fine. The location below the Post Falls dam
isn't currently used anyway so their would be no
impact to other users. If you choose to paddle a
natural stretch, wouldn't it be nice to spread out
the impact? I can't see how access issues or user
fees would impact the communty at large.

Just my 2cents,

Jason

A Whitewater Park is a very bad idea! As soon as
there is a park there will be a fee. Soon after
that there will be access issues.
