That soft little hole always shows up around
1100-1300 CFS. It's at an angle, but it's still
possible to go both ways - though you'll likely
hit the rock if you're exiting the river right
(surfer left) side.

Another soft little hole, this one straight (not
angled), develops with a few 100's more CFS
downstream about 100-150 yards right smack in the 
middle of the river. It's to river left of a tall 
rock which remains exposed until 3000+ CFS.
