"This is the ultimate in protection. It protects your ribs, kidneys and spine from outside impact with a system of rigid plastic armor plates installed within the vest. A body harness is incorporated into the vest to provide a platform for a variety of techniques involving rescue, climbing, and portaging. The harness is Kevlar stitched and built inside the vest. This protects the harness from UV rays that would make it weak. The vest also opens and lies flat providing a simple pad to shiver the night away for the unfortunate "I missed the take out". It is also comfortable to wear when you are shredding a wave or throwing ends, this vest does it all and more" Ed Lucero.
