Boundary Creek |
River: | Boundary Creek | City: | Bonners Ferry, Idaho | Gradient: | High | Season: | May - July | Volume: | 200 - 600 cfs | Grade: | V | Type: | Creek | Length: | 10 miles | Time: | 4 - 6 hours | Shuttle: | Very Long, 4WD Dirt Road | Description: | Boundary Creek really only has one rapid, it starts at the put-in and ends at the take-out. Boundary Creek tears along for 10 miles in a congested bed of gradite boulders. It's continuous class IV with way too many class V drops to even mention. Expect a long and taxing day of non-stop action. Boat scout when you can because there are plenty of other spots you will need to get out and look at. Most eddys are only big enough for 1 - 2 boats so stay spread out and stay alert. This is no place for someone at the edge of their ability or someone out of shape. Logs are always a hazard so keep a sharp eye out. Choose your group well and have fun! |
