The Lower Spokane |
River: | Spokane River | City: | Spokane, Washington | Gradient: | Low | Season: | 365 days | Volume: | 500 - 30000 cfs | Grade: | III | Type: | River Run | Length: | 7 miles | Time: | 2 - 4 hours | Shuttle: | 7 miles | Description: | The Lower Spokane River is runnable at any level however, some are better than others. There are two stand out rapids, Devils Toenail and The Bowl and Pitcher. On both draps, if you stay right, you will do just fine. The run has many good catch on the run waves and holes so keep a sharp eye out. The Lower has more of a big water feel than the Upper and the rock formations are more volcanic so keep rock splats to a minimum. Wear your nose plugs and have fun! | Spokane River Flow |
