RE: Slate Creek May 11th??????????

James,
Welcome to the dry side!
Slate is indeed a great run. Only 3 miles long,
but may take 3 hours to run, with out of boat
scouting, possible portages. This run has lots of
great drops in remote canyon. Depending on flow
(hand painted gage at upstream side of bridge at
take-out) 1-1.5 feet is nice. Much higher this
run could get out of hand in a hurry. I have to
work Friday night, getting off at 7 am. Depending
on my night I may wanna join you. I won't know
till that morning however!

Hello,
I am new to the Spokane area from
Portland.
We kayaked Marble Creek and the St. Joe recently.

Anyway I'd like to try Slate Creek near Avery,ID

on the May 11th. If anyone has experience on
Slate Creek or would just like to tag alone
please reply. I drive a crewcab pickup that
makes the shuttle easy.
